Official: Russia can start milk, cheese exports in few years
MOSCOW, Nov 20 (PRIME) -- Russia plans to retain leadership in wheat exports in the current agricultural year and plans to start exports of milk and cheese in several years, Director of the International Cooperation Department of the Agriculture Ministry Olga Garshina said at a forum on Monday.
“We are extending supplies (exports) of not only grains, we are about to start meat and confections supplies. We will ship milk in the nearest future and perhaps, cheeses,” Garshina said.
She also said that Russia can cover its food demand fully in several years.
